Barstow’s FIRST Robotics Team 1939 is competing this week at the Oklahoma Regional Tournament in Enid, Ok.
This is their first regional tournament of the season, and the Kuhnights are one of 45 high school teams participating.
This event is a Week 1 tournament, meaning it is the first time teams compete with their newly built robots. Teams have only a short time to design and build their robots before the competition begins. The team has spent the semester so far preparing for competition, planning and building their robot during after school and weekend build sessions at IDEA Space.
The Kuhnights started off strong with a score of 153-21 in Thursday’s practice matches. Matches continue throughout the day on Friday, March 6 and Saturday, March 7. Friends and family can follow along through a livestream and get match updates online here.
