IDEA Space Voted a Favorite Community Resource

Garnering enthusiastic support in the poll, IDEA Space stands out as a dynamic hub for STEAM education and community engagement throughout the metro.

Opened three years ago in Leawood, IDEA Space offers a rich variety of programming for students from preschool through grade 12, including summer camps, after-school classes, educational partnerships,  events, and field trips—all focused on hands-on STEAM learning and community engagement. 

Director Cassie Banka shared her excitement over the recognition. “Winning this award is a tremendous honor for our team and community,” said Banka. “In just our third year, we’ve seen IDEA Space transform into a valuable venue for learning, connection and innovation. This acknowledgment from Kansas City Star readers validates our mission and motivates us to continue expanding opportunities for students, families and partners invested in STEAM education.”
