In keeping with its mission to provide consistent and ongoing STEAM learning experiences for all Kansas City-area students, the Dan & Cassidy Towriss IDEA Space is now a Qualified Education Service Provider for Kansas Education Enrichment Program (KEEP).
The program provides a $1,000 award per student to pay for various educational goods and services that promote learning recovery and facilitate academic enrichment opportunities.KEEP funds may be used on various enrichment and educational activities, including STEAM-related camps and courses that provide learning and enrichment.
"We are delighted that the Dan and Cassidy Towriss IDEA Space has been named as a KEEP Service Provider," Shane Foster said. As President of The Barstow Schools, Mr. Foster led the effort to purchase and repurpose the abandoned grocery store on State Line Road in Lewood, Kansas, into a state-of-the-art community resource. "IDEA Space was created to be an innovative, experiential center providing the children of Kansas City with a world-class center for STEAM programming. The designation as a qualified education service provider will create incredible learning opportunities for the community. We look forward to welcoming students to the IDEA Space as part of the KEEP program."
